For the past twenty years, I have worked in the management and architecture side of software development. I have a long track record of delivering robust, cloud-based, highly scalable solutions. I am a hands-on technical manager, and I enjoy building and driving teams to their highest potential. Lately, I have been lucky enough to adopt AI and LLMs into my projects.

I am a military and technology veteran with over two decades of extensive experience in every stage of software development and Systems Engineering. I have a strong record of scaling companies, maximizing revenue growth, driving profitability, and strengthening marketplace leadership.

Quality is the name of the game for me. I have been referred to as the “go-to guy” when you need someone to solve a problem. My career has taken me from computer hardware manufacturing to academia and to global-scale SaaS applications. I am a trailblazer with success in mind. What matters to me is the success of my people and projects.

After leaving the Navy, I built a progressive career that took me through every phase of quality software development. I planted engineering departments and full IT departments, several of which received acclaim in their industries. My understanding and use of technology, management techniques, and quality processes enable me to have continued success in the development of SaaS systems in regulated environments.

WHAT I DO: I help companies expand their product offerings by adopting flexible, scalable, and resilient architecture in the cloud. This re-architects their product and company to fully take advantage of the Cloud’s strengths, enabling them to achieve high levels of work efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and profitability.

HOW I DO IT: I empower organizations to confidently embrace cloud technology as the core of their software offering with a 3-pronged approach:

  • Product Telemetry: Provide correct insights into the right business processes.
  • Get to the Cloud: I analyze the existing products to identify three things: 1) what can be moved, 2) what can be modified, and 3) what needs redesigned. These three things help reduce the cost while exponentially increasing insight into unseen telemetry.
  • Adopt Agile SDP: Adopting continual process improvement helps to identify what companies “actually” do. Then, I put steps in place to morph their processes into Agile.

WHY IT WORKS: Embracing the Cloud opens up a new world of product insights that feed business intelligence. This insight makes the company more efficient, effective, and profitable by focusing on the things that matter.

WHO I WORK WITH: I partner with Executive Management to set a technology roadmap with a “Cloud First” approach and with Product Owners to understand product/project requirements to better design and build them in compliance with the technology roadmap.

I have worked across industries for the last 20+ years:

  • Biotech: Asuragen, Aperio, Leica Biosystems.
  • Insurance: State Farm, Nationwide, Anchor General
  • Electronics and Technology: Sony, Toshiba, Mitchell International

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT:  As a Software Cloud Architect, I have been assisting companies in writing cloud-native software for over 15 years. I am dedicated to helping companies in regulated industries embrace the Cloud.
